The Game Development Tool Kit - GDK for the Cyberview Downloadable Gaming Platform provides a suite of tools and services aimed at simplifying the development of sophisticated video games.
At the heart of the Game Development Tool Kit is the Gaming Machine Emulator. This PC based system brings a complete Gaming Machine and Services to your development environment, thus speeding the unit testing of your new game.
The Gaming Machine Emulator gives the programmer true WYSIWYG access to the gaming machine screens in both single and dual screen configurations. It also supports the development process with emulations of the services provided by the Cyberview Platform, services that cannot realistically be deployed to a developer. These emulations include the Game Server and the Jackpot Server. The programmer can tailor these services as required for development and testing.
Alongside the Gaming Machine Emulator is a Debug and Trace window that gives the programmer a detailed view of the interaction between the game and the platform. The contents of this window can easily be exported and analysed in isolation.
The Game Development Tool Kit also comes with comprehensive documentation with many samples of source code, including a user guide for the Gaming Machine Emulator, a tutorial for developing video reel games, the complete game programming interface, and all the source code to a fully functional video reel game.
